The Prez Sez: Notes from the MMK March Meeting

Well, Mother Nature had another laugh at the area and most of us stayed home. A few intrepid souls made it to “A Tangled Skein” to scope it out. Karen Hogan sent me a detailed report and I will ask her, Christine and anyone else who made it to give us their thoughts. I can’t imagine there is any downside to having our meetings there if we can work out the schedule.

There isn’t anything other knitting news but I would like to announce the birth of my second granddaughter, Madelyn Elizabeth DeMay, on February 28th. She had a bit of a rough start but is doing well now. Big sister Ashly is proudly helping her Mom and Dad with anything they will let her do. I will bring pictures to the meeting.

My husband and I are leaving Sunday morning for a week in Sanibel Island, FL to celebrate our 16th anniversary. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm but we will enjoy the trip no matter what the weather. I am taking a shawl to finish as well as some books and our trusty travel Scrabble game so will have plenty to do.

So until then, happy knitting to you all!

See you at the next meeting: Wednesday, April 4th at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
