Just in, new information on a yarn shop in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Donna Robb has returned from there and has this to say:

Went to Hilton Head, SC and found a very tiny yarn/book store. The owner had just purchased the store late last year and just learned how to knit in January of this year. You should see the stuff she is working on! It blew me away to see just how quickly she learned and has started patterns that are (I think) quite challenging. I told her that I belong to a knitting guild and she invited me to come back to her shop on Wednesday after she closes the store. She said that some of the women come in and they have a 'bitch and stitch' session from 5:00 - 7:00. I met the nicest people. Looks like the beginning of a guild in SC to me. If anyone is in Hilton Head, SC, stop by The Courtyard and visit Toni McPherson.
